Carbondale is in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Carbondale is located 170 miles west of Denver and 30 miles north of Aspen. It is located between Glenwood Springs and Basalt Accessible from Interstate-70 on Highways 82 and 133, Carbondale is the hub of the Roaring Fork Valley. Numerous art galleries, jewelers, and gift shops reflect our artistic community, while special events throughout the year add to the fun and entertainment.
The Carbondale Community Chamber of Commerce [1], organized in 1947 and incorporated as a 501(c)(6) in 1980, is a voluntary organization of businesses and individuals. The Chamber is governed by a board of directors and its Executive Committee and is staffed with an Executive Director, Assistant, and volunteers.
